MonetCam Terms of Use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Scope
These Terms apply to your use of MonetCam (the "App"), operated by Sato Apps (Japan). By using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App
MonetCam turns camera images, photos and videos into painting styles inspired by Monet, Cézanne, Munch, Bosch and Schiele, and other styles. The results are made by software in the style of those artists. They are not works by the artists, and the App is not connected to or endorsed by them.
Your content
You must have the rights and permissions (including copyright, portrait and privacy rights) for every photo or image you use with the App. Do not use another person's photo without their permission. You are responsible for any dispute with a third party arising from your content.
Prohibited conduct
You must not use the App to:
- violate laws, regulations or public order;
- infringe copyright, portrait rights, privacy or other rights of others;
- impersonate someone or mislead others;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload or gain unauthorized access to the App or its servers;
- interfere with the operation of the App; or
- use results to harm, deceive or discriminate against others.
Ads
The App is free to download and shows ads. How ads are handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Results
You are responsible for how you save and share the results. We do not guarantee that they are free from third-party claims or fit for your purpose.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or end the App at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages caused by such changes or interruptions.
Intellectual property
The App, including its logo, design, programs, text and images, belongs to the operator or its licensors. Do not copy, modify or distribute it except as these Terms or the law allow.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
We do not warrant that the App is free from defects or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the damage occurred (JPY 1,000 if you paid nothing), except for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not limited.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Updated Terms apply from the date they are posted on this page, and continuing to use the App means you accept them.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The court with jurisdiction over the operator's location is the exclusive court of first instance for disputes arising from the App.
